I wasn't necessarily thinking "White Christmas"

But we sure got one this year here in Texas! It's on the fifth or sixth time in 111 years that there's been snow in Texas on Christmas. We usually didn't have snow in Buffalo on Christmas, so imagine our surprise and delight to have it here at home.

The kids woke up Christmas morning to a bunch of wonderful gifts from Santa!!! Will's big present was a karaoke machine. He absolutely loves to sing. He lit up from ear to ear when the music started playing.

Bryn seemed to like her new ride the best! She is happy to sing backup for Will though when he's rockin' out to Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.

This was a very special Christmas for us because it was our first Christmas spent at home. We decided to stay put this year since Bryn is at that age where she can't sit still for 30 seconds, let alone a 3 hour plane ride to California to visit the family. So I cooked my first holiday meal ever! It was delicious! Here is the spread, all homemade from scratch with the exception of the Honeybaked ham and turkey that I stood out in 30-degree weather for over an hour to pick up!

Merry Christmas everyone!
